My Experience at Cut & Paste

As a Freelance Artist who works from home it can get boring. I am the type of person who hates routine and the mundane. So I take the time out to go to these events to get some inspiration. Also it’s a great place to meet others who have the same interest as myself. I had a great time that night and I admire the artist who competed. They were truly brave. My first time going to this kind of event. Below is a video clip courtesy of the Cut & Paste web site!

Share/Bookmark Overview of the Digital Design Tournament This event was $15.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. This competition had four contestants going head to head within a 15-20 minute time frame, competing with live judges, talk about pressure! Along the sides of the room were stations where you could check out new software and products. One of their sponsors is Wacom so they had Wacom tablets on display for you to try out. Full bar although I didn’t drink anything that night but water ( I had way too many the night before ). There was a mini competition to design a graphic tee within 15 minutes. More about the event here. Global Championship 2009 This event will be held on Saturday June 20th at the Hammerstein Ballroom here in NYC. They will have have 3 competitions for 3 different mediums ( 2D, 3D, & motion ). Check out the CUT & PASTE site for more info. Subscribe Share/Save/Bookmark Related Post
